To ensure continuity of services in sync with technological excellence Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic developed IP ‘Saksham’, – an ecosystem created for the current adverse situation – which responds to COVID19 disruptions by enabling one’s return to the workplace with compliance on safety and health. We will position this with the Government of India’s progressive projects, such as the Make in India and Digital India initiatives to promote ‘Social Innovation’, says Rajan Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic, in an interaction with Elets News Network (ENN).
Tell us about the specialty tech segment of Hitachi working in alignment with the government.
There is no doubt that digital technology is reshaping the government and changing how government makes policy and delivers public services. At, Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic, we are propelled by the mission of social innovation, adding economic, social and environmental value through technology solutions and services. We are differentiating ourselves through our services to help government in the areas of remote management, automation, monitoring, patch management, software deployment, asset management & IT compliance etc.
What role is Hitachi playing in building the skill space and improving the lives of Indian natives?
The government of India is focusing on digitization of healthcare, e-education, agricultural support, financial services and other economic and social obligations to its citizens using technology and innovation. At, Hitachi, we are on a mission to closely work on the projects which contribute to the development of the country and our citizens. We have been partnering with Government to provide resources and technology in some of the critical projects including e-education, e-governance, agriculture, banking and
utilities. Through these projects, we are proud to strengthen the workforce and accelerate our mission of social innovation in India.

How is Hitachi using Information Technology in revolutionizing banking in India?
Without doubt technology has reshaped the banking industry, being in the IT services industry we have witnessed the needs of our banking customers evolve from building infrastructure for 24×7 availability of banking services to ensuring safe banking using robust cybersecurity framework. We have engaged with some national banks on upgrading their technology infrastructure to enhance customer’s overall experience as well as give banks a competitive edge.
Through our aim of ‘Powering Good’, the advancement in technology has brought mobile and internet banking services to the citizens.
What steps have you taken in alignment with Digital India to support initiatives like Financial Inclusion?
Financial inclusion, launched in 2015, is one of the cornerstones of our economy, a significant step towards bringing the unbanked population, who had been kept out of the mainstream economy, into the formal financial net. We have partnered with national banks to small finance banks to ensure last mile connectivity to banking services through our technology solutions. What are your plans for 2021?
2021 is going to be critical for our business, with current state of pandemic the technology implementation is on the rise, due to its proven ability to ensure continuity in operations of government and citizen services even with remote workforce and closed offices. Our in-house developed IP ‘Saksham’, – an ecosystem created for the current adverse situation – which responds to COVID19 disruptions by enabling one’s return to the workplace with compliance on safety and health. We will continue to build solutions and services which will help empower and embrace the change which leads to economic and social development of the country. We will position with the Government of India’s progressive projects, such as the Make in India and Digital India initiatives to promote ‘Social Innovation’.
