Cutover Joins AWS Marketplace
London-based Cutover, maker of an IT Work Orchestration and Observability SaaS platform, announced that its solution is now available for procurement and provisioning through AWS Marketplace. The listing allows enterprise customers — particularly regulated financial institutions — to discover, purchase, and deploy Cutover directly through their existing AWS account, consolidating billing and simplifying contract management.
Cutover is designed to help large organizations accelerate cloud migrations while maintaining operational resilience. The company reports that a number of Fortune 500 companies use its platform for cloud migration projects.
The Problem: Legacy IT Project Tooling
Many large enterprise IT and financial compliance teams still depend on ageing, on-premises project management tools with a range of critical limitations:
- Inflexible workflows that cannot adapt to rapidly changing application portfolios
- Poor scalability for large, geographically distributed teams
- Lack of integration with machine automation and modern CI/CD toolchains
- High ongoing maintenance burden
- No built-in support for financial services resilience planning and regulatory reporting requirements
As enterprises move workloads to the cloud, these legacy tools become a direct constraint on innovation and agility. Cutover positions its platform as a modern replacement that addresses all of these gaps.
What Cutover’s Platform Does
Cutover provides Work Orchestration and Observability across human and automated tasks, covering the full lifecycle of critical IT events. Key capabilities include:
- Real-time remote team orchestration: Virtual teams distributed across multiple locations can coordinate tasks simultaneously, with full visibility into progress.
- Machine and human task integration: Automated activities and manual steps are tracked together in a single runbook, reducing handoff errors during migrations.
- Customisable portfolio mapping: Organisations can map their application estate, projects, business units, and cost centres, then surface personalised dashboards for executives and team leads.
- Resilience testing and operational readiness: Beyond migrations, Cutover supports data centre power-down exercises, resilience testing, technology releases, and major incident recovery.
- Audit and compliance reporting: Detailed logs of every human and machine task make post-event reporting to internal governance teams and external regulators significantly less manual.
- AWS Service Catalog integration: Clients can access AWS Service Catalog governance and compliance controls directly from within Cutover runbooks.
Why AWS Marketplace Matters for Enterprise Procurement
Listing on AWS Marketplace is not purely a distribution decision — it has concrete procurement implications for enterprise buyers:
- Consolidated billing: Cutover charges appear on the customer’s existing AWS invoice, eliminating a separate vendor billing relationship.
- Faster contracting: Cutover has adopted the AWS Enterprise Contract, a standardised agreement that removes the need for lengthy custom negotiations with Procurement and Legal teams. According to AWS VP Dave McCann, this can get engineering and IT teams access to software months faster.
- Simplified renewals and upgrades: Existing customers can renew, expand, or upgrade their terms through the same Marketplace portal.
- AWS sales collaboration: AWS field teams can introduce Cutover to prospects as part of a broader migration engagement, creating a joint go-to-market motion.
Customer Perspective: Barclays
“Cutover and AWS play a critical role in the delivery of our key cloud program at Barclays. Cutover is enabling us to realize our strategic migration goals while ensuring operational resilience reporting and playbook invocation, which is an indication of their commitment to supporting our business.”
— Will Westwick, CTO of Enterprise Technology, Barclays
AWS Perspective
“As financial institutions migrate more and more applications to the cloud, they want new and modern tools that increase IT productivity and observability, particularly as many teams are now working from home. AWS Marketplace simplifies software evaluation, procurement, billing, provisioning, and tagging for organizations by standardizing the experience across their top software suppliers. Cutover’s adoption of our Enterprise Contract for AWS Marketplace adds them to the growing list of ISVs who use a common contract model. This takes a strain off Procurement and Legal, allowing Engineering and IT to access software months faster.”
— Dave McCann, Vice President, Migration, AWS Marketplace and Control Services, Amazon Web Services
Cutover CEO on Remote Orchestration
“Making our solution available in AWS Marketplace reduces effort for customers to initiate new contracts, and to renew, expand, or upgrade their terms. It also makes it easier for AWS sales teams to introduce us to new clients and collaborate with Cutover to solve customer needs together.”
— Ky Nichol, CEO, Cutover
