Forcepoint Deepens AWS Partnership with Three Security Hub Integrations

Forcepoint has expanded its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) by integrating three of its flagship security products with AWS Security Hub. The integrations are designed to help enterprise security teams consolidate high-priority alerts and findings from across their AWS accounts into a single, unified view.

The Three Integrated Products

The announcement covers three distinct Forcepoint products, each addressing a different layer of enterprise security:

  • Forcepoint DLP (Data Loss Prevention): Monitors and controls the movement of sensitive data across networks and endpoints. The AWS Security Hub integration surfaces DLP findings alongside alerts from other AWS-native and partner tools.
  • Forcepoint CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker): Provides visibility and control over cloud application usage. Integrating CASB findings into Security Hub allows security teams to correlate cloud-app risk signals with broader AWS environment data.
  • Forcepoint NGFW (Next-Generation Firewall): Extends network visibility across both on-premises infrastructure and AWS environments, helping teams manage hybrid-network threats from a single console.

Why AWS Security Hub?

AWS Security Hub acts as a central aggregation point for security findings across an organisation’s AWS accounts and services. By routing findings from third-party tools like Forcepoint directly into Security Hub, security operations teams reduce the need to switch between multiple dashboards and can apply consistent prioritisation and remediation workflows.

Forcepoint CTO Nicolas Fischbach explained the rationale in a statement accompanying the announcement:

“In today’s fluid-perimeter world, enterprises are facing the near-impossible task of protecting both their valuable data and their people from cyberattack. We understand enterprises need frictionless cybersecurity partners who can help future-proof security architectures through interoperability with an open ecosystem. Our co-operation with AWS offers our customers direct insight into security findings across a range of leading Forcepoint products, making it a more efficient process to manage and remediate incidents.”

AWS VP of Security Services Dan Plastina highlighted the practical benefit for existing customers:

“Enabling users to obtain meaningful insights from Forcepoint DLP right alongside the findings provided by AWS and other partners lets our customers do more, in less time. We’re happy to enable customers with a Forcepoint AWS Security Hub integration.”

Part of Forcepoint’s Broader Technology Partner Ecosystem

The AWS Security Hub integrations were unveiled as part of Forcepoint’s Technology Partner Ecosystem initiative, which aims to simplify interoperability between security vendors. The ecosystem is structured around three pillars:

  • Risk-Adaptive Support: Dynamically adjusting security controls based on user and entity behaviour.
  • Data and Edge Protection: Securing data at rest, in motion, and at network boundaries.
  • Infrastructure and App Integrations: Connecting security tooling across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Fischbach emphasised that consolidating tooling is critical for modern security operations: “Today’s cloud security requires utilising converged services, which is key to consolidating the number of tools in a security infrastructure for maximum effectiveness and reduced operational burden.”

Global Infrastructure Expansion Context

The AWS partnership deepens as Forcepoint simultaneously works to grow its global delivery footprint. In October 2019, the company announced expansion of its cloud infrastructure to more than 160 public points of presence (PoPs) across 128 countries — a move the company described as representing over 65% total global presence. This geographic reach is intended to ensure customers can access Forcepoint services without performance degradation regardless of location.

Key Takeaways for Security and DevOps Teams

  • Teams already using AWS Security Hub can now pull Forcepoint DLP, CASB, and NGFW findings directly into their existing security workflows without building custom connectors.
  • Centralising findings in Security Hub reduces alert fatigue and speeds up mean time to remediate (MTTR) by eliminating console-switching.
  • The NGFW integration is particularly relevant for hybrid teams managing both on-premises and cloud workloads.
  • Organisations evaluating cloud security broker solutions should review whether CASB vendor findings integrate natively with their chosen SIEM or cloud security management layer.
