Source:-https://siliconangle.com/

Shipa Corp., a Kubernetes application development and management platform, today announced the launch of Shipa Cloud that will assist developers, DevOps teams and platform engineers with the management and support of cloud-native applications.

Shipa Cloud provides a secure developer-centric platform for managing operating applications on Kubernetes. This includes the automatic creation and deployment of all objects.

It operates within the application layer and ensures that developers can observe the app’s entire context without interacting with infrastructure or tinkering with Kubernetes under the hood. As a result, the developers and engineers involved in the process do not need Kubernetes expertise.

“Kubernetes is a powerful and requisite tool for modern application development, but for too many enterprises now leveraging it, it remains frustratingly complex to manage,” said Bruno Andrade, chief executive of Shipa. “We launched Shipa in 2020 to take many of those infrastructure tasks off developers’ plates.”

Shipa Cloud features and benefits include the elimination of existing YAML and Helm charting, post-deployment observability, easy setup and governance and out-of-the-box integration with many cloud-native tools.

Upon installing Shipa Cloud, DevOps teams no longer need to update YAML files constantly and maintain policies for automated governance. The company says it will do that itself to deploy applications, so teams can stay in touch with Kubernetes environments through the interface.

Once deployed, Ship Cloud provides in-depth observability across all applications for statuses, objects, dependencies and network policies. It also connects with numerous pre-built connections into existing management tools for application lifecycle history and version management.

Shipa Cloud also allows DevOps teams to set policies for governance easily– for example, policies can be applied across the entire application stack. Once deployed, it can apply to network security, user roles, resource consumption and much more.

“We enable developers to focus on application deployment and management, while also empowering DevOps to set up the control and compliance policies they require,” said Andrade.

The platform also integrates with numerous cloud-native tools popular on the market such as Vault by HashiCorp Inc., Datadog Inc., JFrog Ltd., Circle Internet Services Inc., Traefik Labs and Istio.

Source:-https://devops.com/

Datadog is planning to expand the scope of the security and observability services it provides following the acquisitions of Sqreen, an application security platform provider, and Timber Technologies, a provider of a tool, called Vector, for collecting and normalizing log data.

Ilan Rabinovitch, vice president of product and community for Datadog, said Vector makes it possible to collect, enrich and transform logs and other observability data from both on-premises and in-cloud environments in a way that makes it easier to route that data to wherever it is needed via a data pipeline.

Sqreen is a provider of a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that detects, blocks and responds to application-level attacks using runtime application self-protection (RASP) capabilities enabled by a web application firewall (WAF) embedded within an application.

Rabinovitch said as IT continues to evolve, it’s clear organizations are looking to embrace DevSecOps best practices in a way that will require security tools that can be embedded within an application, coupled with observability tools that provide more context about the overall IT environment. That context is especially critical, given the amount of data that needs to be analyzed to determine the potential scope of a security threat to an IT environment, Rabinovitch said.

The Datadog platform is already widely employed to monitor cloud computing environments. There is an industry wide effort to take monitoring to the next level by enabling observability, which applies analytics to provide more context. Surfacing that context, however, requires the ability to normalize data across a pipeline using Vector, Rabinovitch said.

Of course, the Vector tools are equally applicable to DevOps workflows that have yet to incorporate security technologies. The goal, now, is to make it easier for IT teams, made up of developers, IT operations teams and security specialists, to collaborate by breaking down the various data silos created by IT and security management tools.

It’s too early to tell what impact the rise of DevSecOps will have on roles within IT organizations. Most organizations will continue to employ a range of specialists that will be able to work more closely with IT generalists, Rabinovitch said. Managing IT is becoming the equivalent of a barn raising, in that it requires members of a community with different skills to come together for a certain amount of time to accomplish a specific task, Rabinovitch added.

It’s also not clear whether IT organizations view observability as a distinct capability separate from monitoring, or whether they will simply view observability as the next logical extension of existing tools. At the core of that issue is debate over whether observability platforms need to be acquired separately, as part of an effort to replace existing monitoring tools, or whether those tools will evolve over time to provide observability capabilities.

Regardless of the path forward, it’s apparent the increased complexity of modern IT environments – made up of microservices, containers and serverless computing frameworks – is about to force that issue.

Cloud application and security monitoring firm Datadog, and vulnerability database provider Snyk, have announced an integration with GitHub, which enables developers to utilise Datadog’s CI/CD capabilities within software development workflows.

Datadog Vulnerability Analysis GitHub Action is the first of DataDog’s actions listed on the GitHub marketplace, which can be found and installed directly without the need for script or infrastructure management.

GitHub’s vice president of product management, Jeremy Epling, says that IT is increasingly relying on developers for security, testing, and responsibility for production operations.

“Partnering with full-stack monitoring leaders like Datadog makes it easy for developers and DevOps teams to incorporate critical operations tooling as part of their everyday work environment, so teams can focus on delivering value, at greater velocity.”

Datadog explains that often developers scan applications for known vulnerabilities, but issues found can be difficult to priorities and remediate.

The company developed its Continuous Profiler, based on Snyk vulnerability metadata, to enable developers to detect events in which vulnerable methods are used in live environments and to subsequently priorities security fixes.

“Maintaining strong security posture is critical for modern applications, but with traditional vulnerability analysis it can be difficult to distinguish the signal from the noise,” adds Datadog vice president of product and community, Ilan Rabinovitch.

“Integrating the Continuous Profiler with the vulnerability database highlights meaningful security vulnerabilities while utilising the GitHub Action automates this process by bringing security directly into application development.”

Snyk’s CTO of global alliances Geva Solomonovich adds that the combination of Snyk’s vulnerability metadata and Datadog’s profiling abilities could help developers find exactly when an application calls vulnerable code.

“Our partnership with Datadog will allow developers to deploy their security resources with greater efficiency,” says Solomonovich.

Datadog also recently announced an extension of its partnership with Google Cloud from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, right through to North America.

Datadog’s first European Google Cloud data centre includes new regions, expanding access to Datadog’s monitoring and security platform.

“Organisations need to be able to leverage monitoring data to optimise their applications in the cloud, and we’re pleased to partner with Datadog to help them do so,” says Google Cloud global ecosystem corporate vice president Kevin Ichhpurani.

“Datadog provides important capabilities in performance monitoring across on-premises, hybrid, and public cloud infrastructure. By expanding the availability of these capabilities on Google Cloud, we can jointly help customers optimise their most critical workloads for Google Cloud.”

Source:-https://siliconangle.com Artificial intelligence operations and management software provider Algorithmia Inc. is taking on the chore of machine learning model performance […]

Source:-https://siliconangle.com

Artificial intelligence operations and management software provider Algorithmia Inc. is taking on the chore of machine learning model performance monitoring with a new tool announced today that it says provides greater visibility into algorithm inference metrics.

Algorithmia is a Google LLC-backed company that sells software designed to make machine learning projects easier to get off the ground and manage.

Its software manages every stage of the machine learning lifecycle, automating model deployment, optimizing collaboration between operations and development, and leveraging existing so-called continuous integration/continuous development processes. It also provides security and governance, and it operates a marketplace for researchers and developers to share ML models they create and get paid when others use them.

Algorithmia Insights is the company’s latest addition to that software set. The new tool is meant to replace a patchwork of disparate tools and manual processes that companies currently employ in order to monitor the performance of their machine learning models as they work their way into production applications.

The company says these performance insights are necessary, because without them organizations will struggle with something called “model drift,” which refers to the degradation of a model’s prediction power due to changes in the environment, and thus the relationships between variables. Model drift is one of the primary reasons why machine learning models fail to meet their performance targets, Algorithmia said.

Algorithmia Insights works by combining operational metrics such as execution times and request identification with inference metrics such as confidence and accuracy in order to identify any model drift, data skews and negative feedback loops, and then correct them before they start to affect performance.

Algorithmia Chief Executive Diego Oppenheimer said most organizations have very specific requirements when it comes to machine learning model monitoring, with some being more concerned about compliance as it pertains to external and internal regulations, and others worried more about reducing the risk of model failure.

“Algorithmia Insights helps users overcome these issues while making it easier to monitor model performance in the context of other operational metrics and variables,” Oppenheimer said.

The company said it’s teaming up with the cloud data monitoring and analytics firm Datadog Inc. to integrate Algorithmia Insights with that company’s platform. The idea is that users can stream operational and user-defined inference metrics from Algorithmia to Apache Kafka, then to Datadog, using that company’s Metrics API. That will enable companies to immediately detect any machine learning model data drift immediately, model any further drift and bias, and compensate for it, the company said.

“By combining the findings of Algorithmia Insights and Datadog’s deep visibility into code and integration, our mutual customers can drive more accurate and performant outcomes from their ML models,” said Datadog Vice President of Product and Community Ilan Rabinovitich.

The company said Algorithmia Insights is available from today within its Algorithmia Enterprise platform and as a pre-built integration with Datadog.

Source:-https://devops.com BigPanda Inc. and Datadog today announced they will integrate their respective platforms to make it easier to form artificial […]

Source:-https://devops.com

BigPanda Inc. and Datadog today announced they will integrate their respective platforms to make it easier to form artificial intelligence for automating IT operations (AIOps) to consume data generated by the Datadog IT monitoring service. The two companies are pledging to invest in a go-to-market partnership to create a comprehensive platform for monitoring, analytics and incident management.

As part of that effort, Datadog is committing to making available an “integration tile” through which BigPanda will also be able to feed root cause analytics based on machine learning algorithms into the Datadog console. That capability will be enabled by a service-to-service topology map created by Datadog that will be used to drive event enrichment, correlation, impact analysis and prioritization.

Mohan Kompella, vice president of product marketing for BigPanda, said Datadog affords his company a unique opportunity to better train AI models using a massive amount of IT and security metrics that Datadog aggregates daily. That data can then be combined with data ingested from other IT service management systems, which will enable IT operations to automate processes using better-trained AI models, added Kompella. Thanks to modern application programming interfaces (APIs), Kompella noted it’s become a lot easier for platforms such as BigPanda to consume a wide range of data.

The more data an AI model is exposed to the faster it learns about the IT environment an organization is seeking to automate. Each IT environment is unique, so it usually takes some time for AI models to be optimally tuned. The more data that’s made available, the faster the AI platform is able to make accurate recommendations. It’s then up to each IT team to decide to what degree they want the AIOps platform to automate a task based on those recommendations versus implementing themselves. The more accurate the recommendations become over time, the more confidence IT teams gain in the AIOps platform.

Of course, IT environments tend to change rapidly and evolve in the DevOps era. The alliance with Datadog will provide BigPanda with a primary source of data from tools that are already widely employed by DevOps teams.

Ultimately, the goal is to reduce the mean time to resolution for IT incidents, in addition to eliminating as much as possible the need to invite developers and IT operations teams to a “war room” meeting to discover the root cause of an issue. Many IT teams these days find themselves spending weeks trying to ascertain the root cause of an issue that, once discovered, only takes a few minutes to fix. AIOps platforms afford IT teams the opportunity to eliminate a lot of friction that currently exists in those complex IT environments that have scaled beyond the ability of humans to manage without some AI assistance.

In the wake of the economic downturn brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, interest in AIOps is clearly on the rise. IT environments continue to grow in size as the enterprise IT becomes more extended. It won’t be long before most IT teams expect to be able to leverage AI to manage highly distributed computing environments. It may, of course, be a while before IT teams fully trust those platforms; however, it’s also clear IT as a whole is reaching a point where there is no alternative.

An overview of the IT infrastructure monitoring software market, covering key vendors such as Zabbix, Datadog, Nagios, SolarWinds, and IBM, along with market segmentation, regional trends, and growth drivers.

This article summarizes publicly available market research on the IT infrastructure monitoring software sector. The original source references a paid market research report from Algoro Research Consultants / Reports And Markets. Specific CAGR figures, forecast values, and regional breakdowns are drawn from that proprietary report and have not been independently verified.

What Is IT Infrastructure Monitoring Software?

IT infrastructure monitoring software gives operations and DevOps teams continuous visibility into the health, performance, and availability of servers, networks, storage, virtual machines, containers, and cloud services. By collecting metrics, logs, and events from across the stack, these tools enable teams to detect anomalies early, troubleshoot faster, and demonstrate compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).

Demand for these tools has accelerated alongside the growth of hybrid cloud environments, microservices architectures, and remote-first operations—all of which increase the complexity that teams must monitor and manage.

Market Overview and Growth Drivers

According to the referenced market research report (covering the period 2020–2026), the IT infrastructure monitoring software market was analysed using key metrics including Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), market share by region, and competitive positioning. While the precise figures are proprietary, analysts broadly agree that several structural forces are driving sustained growth in this sector:

Hybrid and multi-cloud adoption: Enterprises running workloads across on-premises data centres and multiple cloud providers require unified monitoring platforms that can aggregate telemetry from all environments.

Rise of DevOps and SRE practices: Observability is now a first-class concern in modern software delivery. Teams demand monitoring tools that integrate into CI/CD pipelines and support on-call workflows.

Regulatory and compliance requirements: Industries such as finance and healthcare need audit trails and uptime guarantees that monitoring platforms help enforce.

Growth in edge computing and IoT: Expanding infrastructure footprints beyond centralised data centres create new monitoring surface areas.

Increased frequency of cyber threats: Anomaly detection capabilities built into monitoring tools increasingly double as a first line of security awareness.

Key Vendors in the Market

The report identifies the following companies as significant players in the IT infrastructure monitoring software market:

Zabbix – Open-source platform with strong network and server monitoring capabilities, popular in enterprises that prefer self-hosted deployments.

Datadog – Cloud-native SaaS observability platform covering infrastructure, APM, logs, and security in a single pane of glass.

Nagios – One of the earliest open-source monitoring tools, widely deployed for network and host monitoring with a large plugin ecosystem.

VMware – Provides infrastructure monitoring integrated with its virtualisation and cloud management portfolio (e.g., vRealize Operations).

Paessler (PRTG) – Known for network monitoring with a sensor-based licensing model suited to mid-market organisations.

SolarWinds – Broad IT management portfolio including infrastructure monitoring (Orion platform) aimed at IT operations teams.

Microsoft – Azure Monitor and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) serve customers monitoring Microsoft-centric and hybrid environments.

Micro Focus – Enterprise IT operations management tools, including Operations Bridge for hybrid IT monitoring.

ManageEngine – Offers a range of affordable IT management and monitoring tools targeted at SMBs and mid-enterprise.

Progress (WhatsUp Gold) – Network and infrastructure monitoring with a focus on ease of deployment.

Icinga – Open-source fork of Nagios with a modern API-driven architecture and active community.

OpsRamp – AIOps and hybrid infrastructure monitoring platform acquired by HPE.

NetApp – Storage-centric monitoring and cloud data services management.

IBM – Enterprise-scale monitoring via IBM Instana, IBM Tivoli, and the broader Watson AIOps portfolio.

Market Segmentation

The research segments the market across several dimensions to give buyers and vendors a clearer picture of where demand concentrates:

By Product Type

Solutions range from dedicated network performance monitors (NPM) and server monitoring agents to full-stack observability platforms that combine infrastructure metrics, application performance management (APM), log management, and synthetic monitoring in a single tool.

By Deployment Model

Buyers can choose between on-premises installations (self-hosted open-source or licensed), SaaS/cloud-delivered platforms, or hybrid arrangements. SaaS has gained share rapidly because it eliminates the operational overhead of maintaining the monitoring infrastructure itself.

By End User / Application

Primary buyers include IT operations teams, network operations centres (NOCs), DevOps and SRE teams, managed service providers (MSPs), and cloud operations groups. Verticals with heavy usage include banking and financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, retail, and government.

By Distribution Channel

Vendors reach buyers through direct sales, cloud marketplaces (AWS Marketplace, Azure Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace), VAR/reseller channels, and managed service partnerships.

Regional Outlook

The report analyses market contribution by geography. At a high level, the global picture during the 2020–2026 forecast window was expected to follow patterns consistent with broader enterprise software trends:

North America – Historically the largest market, driven by high cloud adoption rates, large enterprise IT budgets, and a concentration of major vendors.

Europe – Significant market with growing compliance-driven monitoring demand (GDPR, NIS Directive). Strong adoption in Germany, UK, and the Nordics.

Asia-Pacific – Fastest-growing region during the forecast period, fuelled by rapid digitalisation in India, China, and Southeast Asia.

Latin America, Middle East and Africa – Emerging markets with growing IT infrastructure investments and increasing cloud adoption.

Market Dynamics: Drivers and Restraints

Growth Drivers

Increasing complexity of hybrid and multi-cloud IT environments

Adoption of AIOps to reduce alert fatigue and automate root-cause analysis

Growing importance of observability as a DevOps practice

Expansion of remote work increasing reliance on well-monitored infrastructure

Regulatory requirements mandating uptime guarantees and audit logging

Market Restraints

High total cost of ownership for on-premises deployments

Complexity of tool sprawl—many organisations run multiple overlapping monitoring solutions

Skills shortage in IT operations and observability engineering

Integration challenges when monitoring heterogeneous environments with legacy systems

Data privacy concerns when routing telemetry to third-party SaaS platforms

Value Chain Analysis – Maps how value is created and distributed across vendors, channel partners, and end users.

CAGR and Revenue Forecasting – Quantifies expected market growth over the forecast period.

Competitive Landscape and Company Profiles – Profiles key vendors by revenue, product portfolio, strategy, and recent developments.

Choosing an IT Infrastructure Monitoring Tool: Practical Considerations

For DevOps engineers and IT operations managers evaluating tools in this space, the following criteria are worth weighing independently of any market report:

Coverage breadth: Does the tool monitor all layers of your stack—network, compute, storage, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, and SaaS applications?

Integration with your toolchain: Look for native integrations with your alerting (PagerDuty, Opsgenie), ticketing (Jira, ServiceNow), and incident management workflows.

Scalability: Can the platform handle your metric cardinality, retention requirements, and ingestion volume at acceptable cost?

Open standards support: Platforms that support OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and StatsDB reduce vendor lock-in.

Total cost of ownership: SaaS pricing models can escalate quickly at scale. Compare per-host, per-metric, and data-volume pricing models carefully.

Alerting quality: Evaluate noise suppression, anomaly detection, and correlation features to avoid alert fatigue.
